JU budget: 53.62 Lakh, funded by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. April, 2022 – March, 2025. The project is a consortium consisting of IIT, Bombay – Consortium Leader and (a) C-DAC, Kolkata (b) C-DAC, Pune (c) Goa University (d) Indian Institute of Technology, Patna (e) Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata (f) Jadavpur University, Kolkata (g) Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi as Consortium Members. The total outlay of the project is Rs. 9,55,98,000/-. The objective of the project is to develop a multidomain text-to-text machine translation system as part of NLTM Speech to Speech MT effort involving bidirectional translation between: Hindi - Bengali, Konkani, Maithili, Marathi.
